“First of all, I donu0026#39;t really understand the English title of this 2017 Chinese romantic comedy. I mean, u0026quot;All My Goddessu0026quot;, what does that even mean?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eRegardless, I stumbled upon this movie by random chance here in 2023. And with my fascination of the Asian cinema, and not having seen or even heard about it before, of course I sat down to watch what director Clifton Ko had to offer.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd that wasnu0026#39;t a whole lot actually. The storyline in u0026quot;All My Goddessu0026quot; was about as interesting and entertaining as wet paint. I struggled to keep afloat while the movie trotted on and on at a very slow pace. And the fact that nothing interesting happened in the narrative, and the lack of interesting characters just made it an ordeal to suffer through. And I manage to sit through 40 excruciatingly long minutes before I threw the towel in the ring and gave up out of sheer and utter boredom.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe narrative in u0026quot;All My Goddessu0026quot; failed to entertain me, as it just felt like a balloon filled with hot air. Nothing solid to the storyline or script, and the characters were just one-dimensional caricatures without personality or traits. Nothing to like there.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd despite having a fair cast ensemble, then the actors and actresses were just fighting an already lost uphill battle.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;All My Goddessu0026quot; was lacking major elements in both the comedy and romance department, which ultimately made this a terrible movie to sit through.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis is not a movie that I would recommend you waste your time, money or effort on. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to attempt finish watching. I just simply donu0026#39;t care an ounce about the storyline, nor of the characters in the movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of director Clifton Kou0026#39;s 2017 romantic comedy lands on a generous two out of ten stars.”
