“I sat down to watch u0026quot;From Parts Unknownu0026quot; (aka u0026quot;Fight Like a Girlu0026quot;) with the impression that I was in for either a monster movie or a zombie movie. Turns out that it wasnu0026#39;t really much of either.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;From Parts Unknownu0026quot; is a low budget movie, no doubt about it. And while you shouldnu0026#39;t just write it off just yet based on that fact, some low budget movies are actually fun to watch, either from having heart and spirit, or from being so phenomenally bad that they are good. u0026quot;From Parts Unknownu0026quot; wasnu0026#39;t either of those as well.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTurns out that this movie is somewhat of a strange mixture of movie genres put into a blender and served all mixed up, for better or worse. The comedy aspects of the movie didnu0026#39;t really work for me, and the zombie aspect was just half-hearted and once the zombies started talking I was done.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSure, there were aspects of the movie that showed potential, but writer and director Daniel Armstrong just never really fully took advantage of that and used it to the best possible solution. As such, the movie just felt low budget and amateurish. That might be a harsh judgment, but that is the impression I was left with once the movie ended and I had endured some rough testing of my will to go on.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting in the movie was subpar, but that was mostly because of a poor script and underdeveloped characters in the story.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI am rating u0026quot;From Parts Unknownu0026quot; a mere three out of ten stars, because the movie didnu0026#39;t capture my interest and there was so very little in the movie that was actually worthwhile sitting through. I did endure the entire movie, but I can honestly say that I will not be returning to watch it a second time.”
