Suvitajad (2023). 1h 25m

“Suvitajad by Ergo Kuld (2023) was an updated version of the Estonian cult film u0026quot;Siin me olemeu0026quot; and it offered a range of emotions. On the one hand, everything was so predictable and familiar, but at the same time it wasnu0026#39;t. As I watched it, I had a terrible urge to visit Muhu, because the nature shots in this film made me feel a sense of recognition and pride in how beautiful Estonia is.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAlthough the film was visually pleasing and humorous, it fell far short of its predecessor. The biggest flaw compared to the original film was that the music failed to shine. Although Smilers were a recurring theme, I will miss the image of Kaire vilgats as u0026quot;Kohviveskiu0026quot; in the junipers. Also, the story itself was too quiet and unfortunately lulling at times.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAgo Anderson and Kaire vilgats were the best part of the film. Though not topping the original Kohviveski, Vilgatu0026#39;s strong personality and sense of character gave the urban protagonist a new side that we hadnu0026#39;t seen before. Ago Anderson, on the other hand, captivated with his wonderful island accent, which tickled the ears in the same way that all TV and radio presenters with island dialects do.”
