Hold: Directed by Frank Mosley. With Robby Storey, Stephanie Rhodes, Jodie Moore, Andrew Sensenig. “Hold” is a tense, spare, and lean drama about a young couple’s relationship in the aftermath of a violent home invasion. Boasting no musical score and filmed in claustrophobic closeups, it investigates the frailty of the hero complex by putting a microscope on American paranoia.

“This movie, alas, didnu0026#39;t add much to the topic of a couple dealing with her being raped (for the curious: the rape itself isnu0026#39;t shown). With two mediocre actors (she with a resemblance to Kaley Cuoco) and a screenplay providing almost no plot ideas, we have to watch much too long the husband struggling with the fact that the perpetrator is unknown and the chances to catch him are minimal. His connection to his wife is falling apart.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eConclusion: watching not recommended.”
