45KLevel Up: Directed by Peter Lauer. With Gaelan Connell, Connor Del Rio, Jessie T. Usher, Aimee Carrero. Four very different high school teenagers battle trolls, ghouls and a dark leader of them named Maldark in a video game that goes haywire and releases the battle into the real world.
“Level Up is a very fun show with a great cast of talented young actors. Itu0026#39;s well written with plenty of comedy and action to appeal to younger kids and teens and loads of humor that adults will catch as it sails over their kidsu0026#39; heads. Dante, Wyatt, Lyle and Angie are high school kids who play an MMO game called u0026quot;Maldark: Conqueror of all Worldsu0026quot;. Characters and weapons from the game start u0026quot;leakingu0026quot; into their world (See u0026quot;Level Up: The Movieu0026quot; for the origin story) and the kids use their gaming skills to battle the bad guys and use treasure to make life easy, usually with unintended and hilarious consequences. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAll the 1 and 2 star votes seem fixated on whether the show is an accurate portrayal of MMORP gaming and their complaints sound like the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons declaring everything u0026quot;Worst…Episode…Everu0026quot; because they know how the show should u0026quot;reallyu0026quot; play out. Theyu0026#39;re missing the point completely. The MMORP is a backdrop, the story is about kids from different backgrounds dealing with the real world and realizing they have more in common than they thought. And did I mention that itu0026#39;s funny?”
