Evangeline: Directed by Karen Lam. With Katerina Katelieva, Richard Harmon, Mayumi Yoshida, David Lewis. A naive college student, Evangeline, is brutalized by a gang of thrill seeking killers. Left to die in the forest, her corpse is revived by an ancient demon spirit that empowers her with a blood-lust for vengeance.

“I think maybe the people who put this thing together wanted to tell the story of a woman scorned. Iu0026#39;m guessing that there was some sort of proverb, or old wives tale, possibly from an Asian culture, that fed into this idea, as well. Iu0026#39;m also guessing that the writer and director wanted us as viewers to travel emotionally with Evangeline throughout this film.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI say these things, because they never actually made themselves apparent. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf youu0026#39;ve seen u0026quot;The Crowu0026quot; or u0026quot;Jenniferu0026#39;s Body,u0026quot; skip this one. At least then, you wonu0026#39;t have to watch those in the future and be reminded of this.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHowever, if you want to take notes on what to avoid when making a movie, please, indulge. Youu0026#39;ll learn how to create a movie containing one dimensional characters, no back story, plot lines that come out of no-where and disappear mid stream, and a general feeling of u0026quot;what the…?u0026quot; when the credits start rolling.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTip of the hat. Good day.”
