“Animation quality was very good, and thatu0026#39;s about the only good thing to say about this movie, and the thunderbolt series as a whole. Itu0026#39;s terrible, plain and simple. People donu0026#39;t watch Gundam to see cringy characters playing jazz sessions. The whole movie was one long jazz music video which is a real shame because the animation was so amazing. Sadly I had to fast forward through most of it until finally I just shut it off. I like jazz too, but putting THAT much of it in a Gundam series/movie is a really, REALLY stupid idea. The show/movie also featured way too many cringy anime characters with wacky hairstyles, annoying, forced personalities, and other highly derivative concepts. It just feels so immature unrealistic, like it was made for 12 year old otakus instead of appealing to the older, more well-rounded fanbase that made Gundam so popular. Sadly those 12 year old otakus define much of what anime was/is and we will continue to see a lot more of this kind of pandering crap in the future.”
