Fado: Directed by Jonas Rothlaender. With Golo Euler, Luise Heyer, Albano Jerónimo, Pirjo Lonka. Young doctor Fabian travels to Lisbon to win back his ex-girlfriend Doro. While the two of them are gradually getting closer again they are being haunted by their fears. Fabian’s jealousy once again puts their relationship to the test.

“Fabian is a young German doctor. He heads to Lisbon to win back his girlfriend, Doro, and slowly but surely he succeeds. Just when things are going really well, the reason they first split up resurfaces. He is jealous to the point of paranoia, thinking she is having an affair with just about any man she is friends with. Over time his jealousy gets worse and worse…u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHad heaps of potential. The setup was good as was the initial plot development. The indications of Fabianu0026#39;s jealousy and paranoia were very well done, weaving his minds-eye view of things into everyday situations.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHowever, all this didnu0026#39;t really go anywhere. The movie seemed set up for a massive twist and/or a very dramatic conclusion, but none of these came. Ended pretty tamely and without adding anything in the way of profundity.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDisappointing, ultimately.”
