“u0026#39;THE 41-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN WHO KNOCKED UP SARAH MARSHALL AND FELT SUPERBAD ABOUT ITu0026#39;: Zero Stars (Out of Five) u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis spoof on Judd Apatow films, and a few others, is a disgrace to film. First of all itu0026#39;s spoofing comedies, which seems ridiculous in my opinion. A spoof should mock something that takes itself seriously, whereu0026#39;s the fun in trying to make fun of a joke? I thought the same thing about the original u0026#39;SCARY MOVIEu0026#39; for spoofing a spoof, u0026#39;SCREAMu0026#39;, which at least parts of that film took itself seriously; it was somewhat a serious horror film as well as a spoof on the horror genre. The Wayans brothers just imitated the same exact jokes and didnu0026#39;t really add anything humorous at all and they also did a much worse job; so much to the effect that it wasnu0026#39;t funny anymore. Thatu0026#39;s the case with this film.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis movie tries to mock u0026#39;THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGINu0026#39;, u0026#39;SUPERBADu0026#39;, u0026#39;FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALLu0026#39;, u0026#39;FUNNY PEOPLEu0026#39; and u0026#39;KNOCKED UPu0026#39; briefly (some of my all time favorite comedy films), as well as a few other random films like u0026#39;SLUMBOG MILLIONAIREu0026#39; and u0026#39;THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTONu0026#39; for no apparent reason. It tells the story of a guy named Andy (played by Bryan Callen), just like Steve Carellu0026#39;s character in u0026#39;THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGINu0026#39;, whou0026#39;s a 41 year old virgin and his buddies find out. They of course try to hook him up with a girl. He has a fling with a woman named Sarah Marshall, played by Mircea Monroe, who becomes pregnant by his friends, blindfolded, and blames him for it. When he wonu0026#39;t take responsibility for the baby a day later she breaks up with him and Andy immediately runs into her on vacation at the same resort.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis movie is not a spoof itu0026#39;s just a ripoff, and itu0026#39;s no better than the u0026#39;TRANSMORPHERSu0026#39; or u0026#39;ALIEN VS. HUNTERu0026#39; at that, although I havenu0026#39;t honestly seen those movies. The worse part is that it takes really good comedy and ruins it; it bleeds the humor out of once funny humor. It branches out a little towards the end and tries to mock other movies to slightly better results but still not funny for the most part. The best joke is a verizon wireless guy u0026#39;can you hear me nowu0026#39; spoof but thatu0026#39;s not worth taking it above a zero star rating. The most the movie has is a somewhat clever title. It also amps up the vulgarity to stomach sickening results. Itu0026#39;s repulsive!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWatch our movie review show u0026#39;MOVIE TALKu0026#39; at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyEmHfpBHN8”
