“You canu0026#39;t help but think that with a cast of A-List celebrities or a well-known director such as Steven Speilberg this film would be nominated for an Academy Award. The storyline was a solid original plot where three young ladies from a planet of all women find themselves trapped on Earth seeking a unique form of energy to fuel their space vessel. It isnu0026#39;t a solid Sci-Fi for many fans, but it is a rather remarkable love story in the vein opf 2017u0026#39;s u0026#39;The Space Between Usu0026#39;. Ellie Church, Allison Maier, and Alyss Winkler carried this film. Respectfully I havenu0026#39;t seen this kind of talent from strong female role models since the 2002 film u0026#39;Chicagou0026#39;. Ellie Church u0026amp; Brian Papandrea (as Charlie) brought an on screen chemistry for the love story that I havenu0026#39;t seen since the 1950 French film u0026#39;Un Chant du0026#39;Amouru0026#39;. Powerful heart touching drama. I genuinely felt the love between this duo.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI only had two criticisms regarding u0026#39;Space Babes From Outer Spaceu0026#39;; Although this movie was marginally female driven, my first criticism has to be the lack of racial diversity. I could easily imagine someone like Yaya Alafia or Lupita Nyongu0026#39;o being part of this undertaking. My last criticism would be the character of u0026#39;Carrieolau0026#39; was under-used in several scenes that required nudity. I understand for some that on screen nude scenes can often be a career ender, but in situations where the female body is part of an expressive nature (u0026#39;The Wrestleru0026quot; 2008) rather than a gratuity of flesh (u0026#39;Nymphomaniacu0026#39; 2013) it is simply necessary. The ending itself (which I wonu0026#39;t spoil for anyone) is quite a twist. It was reminiscent of M. Night Shyamalan staple of movie twists that I recall from u0026#39;The Sixth Senceu0026#39; – I literally did not see it coming. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eRecognizably this film is not for everyone. It came to life as a Kickstarter campaign and is an easy target for trolls who like to hate on matriarchal ideologies. While it is humorous at times, it is not as funny as ( say) the science fiction classic u0026#39;Space Ballsu0026#39;. It is a relatively fresh take on modern society that is suppressive of an opposition through censorship – for example those who might refuse Netflix movies to be nominated for prestigious film awards. I found this film to be entertaining, although for full disclosure I watched it for free, and I suspect the majority of viewers would appreciate the same. More bluntly; do not pay for this movie if you can see it in gratis.”
