“Itu0026#39;s a Canadian production showcasing the arctic. It has more people and industry than the more popular BBC nature docs. Thatu0026#39;s its strength and its weakness. It doesnu0026#39;t have the clean natural majesty. The cinematography is simply not as beautiful. It does have real people interacting with the environment. Some of it is fascinating. I certainly didnu0026#39;t see this in 3D. I donu0026#39;t know if it needs to be seen in 3D. Itu0026#39;s an informative documentary and adds an important angle to anyoneu0026#39;s view on the subject matter. I love the old photographs. The human parts have a mine, some scientists, an icebreaker, the local Inuit, and a bear jail. The show also emphasizes that this environment is actually one of the most productive of the natural world. Losing the ice covering would not only add to the heat but also lose the world a massive amount of biodiversity.”
