Heartbreak Motel (2024). 1h 55m | TV-MA

“Heartbreak Motel is a very unexpected film. This film explores themes such as toxic relationships, trust, and the search for identity. This film has a very simple premise, but is written so beautifully and complexly. The plot here is not linear and in this film there are like two different worlds, and maybe for some people who are not used to or donu0026#39;t like similar plots, they will be confused when watching it. The conflict told here feels realistic, because there are definitely people who behave in the same way, and the conflict is constructed very well. Each character is varied, even for the supporting characters there is a character building. The pacing is also really good, there is even a scene where we think the film is about to end, though it isnu0026#39;t yet. In terms of cinematography, it is very expensive, very beautiful, and very aesthetic with the color grading which makes every scene even more aesthetic. Moreover, there is the use of the dolly zoom technique which is supported by effects that make the scene look really nice. The music is also expensive, it really fits the vibe of the film, and the soundtrack doesnu0026#39;t interfere with the musical score. The acting of Laura Basuki, Reza Rahardian, and Chicco Jerikho in this film is really top notch, especially for Reza Rahadianu0026#39;s acting which never disappoints, in this film he is truly extraordinary. And the rest of the supporting cast is all good. Overall, this film is a must watch, especially watching it in the cinema, itu0026#39;s even more worth it.”
