“An undemanding but enjoyable pirate adventure romp, mainly for kids but probably intelligent enough for adult pirate aficionados to enjoy, too.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eImmersion is spoilt, slightly, by a short cartoon-ish interlude and song in the middle which drags you out of the movie, even though we know itu0026#39;s not real. But an odd inclusion.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe music is rousing but pays more than a passing homage to Pirates of the Caribbean which set the modern standard for pirate movie music. Not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eGood production values and directing.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIf you like pirates, youu0026#39;ll enjoy this.”
