Nikki and the Perfect Stranger: Directed by Jefferson Moore. With Juliana Allen, Jefferson Moore, Matt Wallace, Georgette Kleier. Nikki Cominskey, now in her 40’s and no longer a high-powered attorney, finds that the spiritual life she signed on for is not all it was cracked up to be, leading to a second, and defining, encounter with the Son of Man.

“In the final episode of Missing it might had also been the end of Julien Baptiste (Tchéky Karyo) who was suffering from a brain tumour.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIn this spin off series Baptiste is living in Amsterdam given an all clear by the doctors. The police ask him to help out a frenzied panic stricken Edward Stratton (Tom Hollander) over from England, searching for his niece who might had gone into prostitution in the cityu0026#39;s red light district.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIcelandic director Börkur Sigþórsson brings a Scandi-Noir style to this first episode. It starts off with grey skies when you know that the Romanian gas meter reader has murder on his mind.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWe enter a seedy violent world of sex trafficking and vicious crime gangs. Baptiste helps out Stratton who at first glance looks like someone not cut out to enter this dark world.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut Baptiste has been singled out already, the gangsters know he is searching for a missing person.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe Williams Brothers know how to set up their thrillers. The first episode was a slow burner but brooding with flashes of violence. Baptiste is not as fast as he used to be since his operation but the audience were already dealt with a murder in the opening minute and a chainsaw.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSomehow Rita Hayworth DVDs provides Baptiste with important clues and someone who might be hiding their identity. He might have slowed down but he is determined to get there.”
