“The character of the film is almost documentary, as it only deals with very ordinary people and especially women dragged into the war with or without their consent, whether they like it or not. Itu0026#39;s a great story, the main character is an artist who has no choice but to join his fellows in the defensive war, while he has to leave his sweetheart hoping to join her again later in Kiev. Like in any war, things donu0026#39;t work out as they should. The interesting thing is that both sides are given ample scope, and the host inviting his friends for dinner emphatically hopes for peace and friendship and cooperation across all borders, while the third great male character is a Russian general who keeps drinking vodka with no sense of judgement as to where his intoxication is leading him. Itu0026#39;s a very human drama, and the concluding scene is a triumph of humanity. Until then, you will have to keep biting your finger nails.”
