Elaha (2023). 1h 50m

“She doesnu0026#39;t really wear high heels, but I thought Iu0026#39;d mix it up and donu0026#39;t just write u0026quot;shoesu0026quot; – no matter how you feel about it, just to be clear: no pun intended. This really is quite crazy. You may say that it uses cliches, that it portrays certain groups in a certain light and what not … but it is something that unfortunately still is going on.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt is about shining the spotlight at something – and you can then judge by yourself. Obviously only this particular situation … there are other people and even those still stuck in the u0026quot;old waysu0026quot; can and should be convinced to change their view(s) on things.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eOur main character here has to balance so many things … just to please so many other people. Be it her own family, her husband to be, her employee, her teacher(s), her friends … well you can guess who is left behind with all this .. herself.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe main performance (actress) is phenomenal … she puts it all out there – physically and psychologically (so no pun intended). She is vulnerable, she is honest … this really can hit some nerves … definitely is a really good drama, with many great points. Culture clash … and an empathetic character caught in the middle of it … and she is not alone … well she is … but you know what I mean.”
