“I have already been in this situationnThis film should have the effect of making me scared, but being an Amapá native, in Brazil but This film did not reflect nearly what we experienced in October 2020. After a storm with lots of lightning, a fire broke out in the electricity distribution center in the state capital, Macapá. After 5 days without any communication (no light, no TV, no telephone, no internet) we discovered that there was no redundancy in the energy system, much less an emergency plan and that the entire state was in the dark in the middle of the pandemic. After a whole month of energy rationing and a postponed election only in the state, we are back to normal. The state is practically an island, so it look like was the end of the world. There was a lack of water, a lot of food was spoiled, many were left without food, many died of COVID. Did we think it was the end of the world? No. We were just sure of the lack of infrastructure that sooner or later reveals itself in the Brazilian reality. There was no looting, there were no conspiracy theories. We Amapá people always find a way to learn to deal with difficulties. Sometimes itu0026#39;s good not to live in bubbles.”
