“Rickerl is not just another movie about the typical Vienna u0026quot;loseru0026quot;, because it benefits from a combination of excellent storytelling (it has quite some autobiographical background), a high level of detail, powerful directing and is blessed with a wonderful cast, where every character is really so authentic, that it almost hurts when you watch them living their daily, sometimes miserable lives. Voodoo Juergens shows a terrific performance, but the highlight in terms of casting is definitely Ben Winkler as Rickerlu0026#39;s son Dominik!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt definitely helps when you know the songs of Voodoo Juergens and are from Vienna/have a connection to it, but even if not, you will probably deeply appreciate the morbid character of this movie. Highly recommended!!”
