“This was my first movie out of Turkey and going in I was completely unfamiliar with the Turkish culture. If this movie is representative of the current conditions in Turkey, it is very saddening and scary. With the current financial fears in my own country at the moment I can see how America could end up dealing with these same issues in the future. The main actor in this movie is absolutely brilliant and believable as a single Turkish mother struggling to not just make ends meet for her family, but to survive a world where seemingly everything is a potential threat. She moves through the locations in this movie with the strength and determination of a soldier in a war movie. And despite the lack of explosions this movie has as much suspense and danger as any action flick. In the end I loved the movie and was left craving more. At the same time I felt as if I wouldnu0026#39;t be able to handle any more. There is hope and tragedy. There is the beautiful storytelling technique of showing and not telling. There are twists for those who like that. All in all I suggest every man and woman see this movie as it is what movies are all about.”
