“This was a rather slow moving but interesting mystery that as a period piece was almost well done . The Detective could have used some acting lessons but the lead gal was good and polished – the story itself unwound slowly as I mentioned but the clues kept building and kept our interest – hob knobing with the Vanderbiltu0026#39;s in the late 19th century was fun and lavish and gave us a taste of an age gone by – now comes the part that took this mystery from a 7 to a 5 – Derrick , played by Nathan Witte was an unnecessary and forced socially correct character that made no sense in All White high society of the late 19th century let alone calling on a Vanderbilt at her home – as a period piece it just crashed a burned and the last 3 minutes ruined the series for me.”
