Meet You in Scotland (TV Movie 2023). 1h 30m

“Another day and another mediocre Reel One Entertainment TV movie which actually had a potential to be a good drama but instead we got lame comedy and no romance. There are no technical issues, but there is an issue of somewhat fake location. It was indeed shot in Scotland but things get a bit of messy. You see, plot takes place on the Isle of Skye, they even showed stock footage from time to time except it doesnu0026#39;t. The movie was actually shot on probably some 10 different places through Scotland and they just mixed them together. Not bad per se as if you donu0026#39;t live there you wonu0026#39;t even know about it, but itu0026#39;s hilarious at the same time as how hard is to shot everything in one town. Doesnu0026#39;t it drive cost up filming in the various different places?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut thatu0026#39;s not the problem with the movie. Itu0026#39;s the mistaken for special guest trope, very popular trope but hard to properly execute it. I feel sorry for the Scottish part of the cast. Storyline on both here and ROE site is actually misleading – Jen wasnu0026#39;t mistaken for someone else by a dashing Scottish poet. No, no, she was was mistaken by gate agent at the airport, so she consciously decided to lie that she is the famous Liz Harvi which was possible because she never appeared in the public. James MacDuff, the famous Scotish poet didnu0026#39;t even hear of Liz before their encounter at all!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eImagine if that fake storyline was true. Imagine if James was actually admirer of Liz novels, and when he finally met her, except it was imposter Jen, they quickly develop romance for each other as Jen is his big fan (this last part is the only true in the movie). And then imposter was caught up and movie transit to serious drama. But no, instead, for example, there is a dinner scene to show how Jen is a poor cook, and it was supposedly u0026quot;funnyu0026quot;. And thatu0026#39;s the whole movie – supposedly funny scene after funny scene.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003e3* as was actually filmed in Scotland and the Scottish cast was actually Scottish and not Canadians pretending with fake accent. Just watch trailer and save your time, and if you want to watch about Scotland, there are so many videos available for free on so many streaming sites.”
