“Quick review: u0026#39;Eileenu0026#39; is one of those films where all the pieces were there to be something great, but they just werenu0026#39;t quite assembled correctly. The film just comes across a little flat. Thereu0026#39;s quite a prolonged and drawn out build-up, and then the pay-off isnu0026#39;t quite worthy of it. I still liked the film, donu0026#39;t get me wrong, but I canu0026#39;t help feeling it couldu0026#39;ve been something more.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThere are a few attempts at humour long the way, none of them really land though. And there are a couple of fake-out scenes that were truly shocking, but ultimately meant nothing unfortunately.
