“Politically, itu0026#39;s definitely controversial. Thatu0026#39;s perhaps the filmu0026#39;s strongest point: that itu0026#39;ll get you thinking and talking about some important issues. Itu0026#39;s not a bad little film at all.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt is a u0026quot;littleu0026quot; film. It has some of the same themes as a true classic like American Beauty. Itu0026#39;s no classic, though. On the other hand, itu0026#39;s not easily forgettable, like most little films are.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTo avoid spoiling the movie, Iu0026#39;ll try to create a good analogy. Imagine a father who gets u0026quot;rapedu0026quot; in divorce court, losing custody of his children, even though heu0026#39;s a much better parent than his ex is. What if this father then kidnaps his kids, spirits them away to another state, and his kids get their pictures on u0026quot;have you seen me?u0026quot; milk cartons.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThen imagine that the father gets arrested and charged with kidnapping. Yet the movie goes out of its way to paint him as the good guy, the innocent victim. That kind of movie would certainly anger a lot of people, wouldnu0026#39;t it? Hillary supporters would sure hate it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis movie isnu0026#39;t about divorce and custody rights. Instead, itu0026#39;s about an even more controversial theme, to the point where itu0026#39;s likely to anger Trump supporters as well. (The movie doesnu0026#39;t make conservative Christians look good at all.) u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSo consider yourself warned. I like controversial movies like this, especially those which are a little ahead of their time.”
