“I wasnu0026#39;t quite sure *what* score to give this. u0026quot;2 starsu0026quot; is either generous or harsh, depending on what you hope for in a film. Personally, I hope for interesting and/or likable characters and an engaging plot that actually makes (enough) sense. Sadly, this offers neither. As a logline, itu0026#39;s a funny and promising premise. As a film, itu0026#39;s borderline-incomprehensible and, at least to me, was an infuriating disappointment. In a nutshell: 1 hour 26 minutes of unpleasant things happening to unlikable, one-dimensional characters, most of whom donu0026#39;t have two IQ points to bang together, and very little of which makes sense. (And no, not in a good way.) You struggle to care what happens to any of them and in most cases wish for their swift demise. Comparisons with Scorseseu0026#39;s u0026#39;After Hoursu0026#39; extend only as far as u0026quot;guy having a bad nightu0026quot;. Otherwise, this is charmless and an hour and a half youu0026#39;ll wish youu0026#39;d spent elseways.”
