“Moving into a new duplex, a couple living with her friend decide to rent out the lower level to a group of college students to help pay off the investment, but the more they stay there find the influence of the Slumlord previous owner who lived there effecting their lives and try to stop him from following in the footsteps.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThis was a decent enough if overall flawed genre effort. Among its likable factors are the intriguing setup that actually tries to do something clever and creative in the series. Using the events of the previous entries as fodder for a true crime retrospective series and offering up the new couple moving into the house is a pretty solid idea to try something new. The revelation that theyu0026#39;re in his old house and able to spy on those in the house through the same setup is a fine way to tie everything together as his growing obsession with the same thing he did by torturing those he spent time observing secretly through the cameras. As the tension here comes about through some chilling stalking and brutal encounters that feature some fine deaths in store as well, all make for a fun enough time here. However, there are some big issues here. The main factor against this one is the overall lack of interest in whatu0026#39;s going on throughout here. The true crime obsession that she has makes for a genuinely dull time here simply relying on watching the reenactments of everything which isnu0026#39;t that interesting to see play out which is the same as the storyline for the boyfriend. His descent into the same obsessive behavior as him seems way too quickly to be realistic which is so instantaneous after discovering the existence of the setup in the house. Being the one who wasnu0026#39;t interested in the material to begin with, this feels even more troubling as heu0026#39;s thrust into this role so quickly it causes everyone around him to overlook the behavior so itu0026#39;s pretty dull until the finale on top of being stupid.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eRated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and Brief Nudity.”
