“Right, well this was my first introduction to the persona that is Darienne Lake. So I didnu0026#39;t know what I was getting myself into here, but I figured since it was a comedy special, then of course I would opt to watch it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe contents of this comedy show felt like it belonged back in the 1990s, because it was mostly jokes set below the belt. It is funny for a bit, sure, but it loses its appeal rather quickly, and thus is was starting to wear thin listening to Darienne Lake carrying on and on about jokes about sex and such. And there was also a lot of jokes about being obese; yeah, we get it, youu0026#39;re big, but it is not really that funny.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI wasnu0026#39;t particularly entertained by u0026quot;Darienne Lake: Altered Boyu0026quot;, and I think I was brought to laughing a single time throughout the course of the 75 minutes that the show ran for.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSure, as a comedian representing the drag queen, I suppose Darienne Lake is a good thing. But then again, what do I know, as I am by no means traversed in that particular area of stand-up comedy, if there even is such a thing.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut in terms of u0026quot;Darienne Lake: Altered Boyu0026quot; being a great comedy gem, well no, not so much, at least not for my personal liking.
