“If youu0026#39;re trying to grasp the mindset of the Russian people and their obsession with WWII, which is totally understandable because the Soviet Union lost around 27 million people during the war, do yourself a favor and watch this 1hour 30 minute long documentary about the 2017 Victory Day celebrations at Berlinu0026#39;s Soviet War Memorial, filmed in the style of a Terrence Malicku0026#39;s movie. Thereu0026#39;s no background commentary or narration, just you the viewer observing people participating in the celebrations. Somewhat boring if you lack patience to sit through a documentary with no sense of direction. I have my disagreements with what Putin is doing now to Ukraine since Feb 24, 2022 but my hats off to the Russian people when it comes to honoring their veterans of WW2 in a stylistic manner that invokes bitter sweet memories of the u0026quot;Great Patriotic Waru0026quot;. I rate this a 5 out of 10. Not good but not bad either. So-So.”
