Ferris macht blau: Directed by John Hughes. With Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jeffrey Jones. A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite what the Principal thinks of that.

“Before all the slapstick, before re-writing u0026quot;Home Aloneu0026quot; umpteen times and before selling his soul to u0026quot;Disney Pictures Inc.u0026quot;, John Hughes was believed to be THE scribe for teen angst. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHe wrote eloquently of it in u0026quot;Sixteen Candlesu0026quot;, u0026quot;The Breakfast Clubu0026quot; and u0026quot;Pretty in Pinku0026quot;. And with u0026quot;Ferris Buelleru0026#39;s Day Offu0026quot;, he creates a person and a time in life that just about anyone whou0026#39;s ever been a teenager can relate to.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWho hasnu0026#39;t known someone like Ferris Bueller (Broderick)? Someone who always has a plan, someone who made loafing off an art form, someone who could fall in a barrel of you-know-what and come out smelling like a rose?u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAll he wants to do is take a day off from school and enjoy the day in Chicago – simple enough, but he must also try and convince his best friend Cameron (Ruck) and his best girl (Sara) to join him and, in the process, learn to enjoy what life has to offer.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eNaturally, there is a tyrannical school dean (Jones) who is determined to catch Ferris in the act of hookey and Ferrisu0026#39; own sister (Grey, pre-nose job) who has it in for her brother, the u0026quot;trouser-snakeu0026quot;. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThere are funny situations throughout the movie, and the characters are ones that grow on you, especially Rucku0026#39;s worry-wart portrayal of Cameron Frye, constantly fretting about his dystalic, cursing his father and nearly drowning in a pool, all in the name of friendship.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSara has less to do, but she plays the object of desire well, and Ferrisu0026#39; passion for her is understandable. At least he thinks about the right things, like what their lives would be like after high school.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAll the way from beginning to end, this movie is a great trip in search of fun, relaxation, not taking life too seriously and how to sing Wayne Newton songs in the middle of a parade. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eYou want to catch vintage John Hughes and classic u0026#39;80s teendom at its best? Seize this u0026quot;Dayu0026quot;!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eTen stars for u0026quot;Ferris Buelleru0026#39;s Day Offu0026quot;.”
