Skinford: Death Sentence (2023). 1h 24m

“This genre of film originated in the 1970s, and for good reason. Color film did not become perfected until the 1960s, and even then only the A-list productions could afford it. In that decade literally dozens of top-rated, award-winning films, were still in Bu0026amp;W. Google it. Everything changed in the 70s. Color film was cheaper and anyone could rent a Bolex camera and editing equipment … and make a movie. Which is what happened. Not all the u0026quot;experimentsu0026quot; in film making were a success but they were all interesting. The torture/revenge/art genre started here, and continues today. Which brings us to this second in the Skinford series from a creator who has mad skills — yet seems oddly determined to use those skills to frustrate viewers with ideas, arcs, and entire scenes that seem to go absolutely nowhere … yet remain somehow compulsively watchable anyway. Not quite like anything you have seen before. ((Designated u0026quot;IMDb Top Reviewer.u0026quot; Please check out my list u0026quot;167+ Nearly-Perfect Movies (with the occasional Anime or TV miniseries) you can/should see again and again (1932 to the present))”
