Mallory enters the picture and she and Sara develop a sort of friendship, which is difficult due to their social standings, both financial and racial.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAt one point, the upscale, white family describe Mallory as u0026quot;Blacku0026quot; and with an u0026quot;afrou0026quot; with obvious disparaging undertones.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eA tragedy occurs and the followup is rather tedious with plot points that are never fully resolved.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe final scene is a symbolic one and I must have missed the point. The movie poster piqued my curiosity but I was left disappointed.”
