An army veteran who returns home to the Ozarks finds an abandoned young boy in the woods, and as she searches for clues to the boy's identity, discovers the local folklore about a spirit, which comes in the form of a child.
“I liked this movie. It was a drama and social commentary on child abuse and neglect, and PTSD after traumatic events. While the subject matter of child abuse is indeed quite horrifying, to call this move a horror or even a thriller is quite the stretch. There was no suspense building, and no elements of the film that drew an immediate, autonomic reaction of either disgust or terror.”
