Behandlingen (2009)
37KBehandlingen (2009). Behandlingen: Directed by Johan Jonason. With Emil Johnsen, Björn Andersson, Ignatio Sosa Da Costa, Eva Dahl. Roy has lost his motivation and spends his days at home. Finally his wife can't take it anymore and sends him away on an alternative treatment. The method is ridiculous. Roy doesn't understand what he's doing there. The treatment only simulates treatment. The therapist is strange, so strange that Roy suspects that something is wrong. When he wants to leave, things get unpleasant for real.
“This little film starts off very interesting with a meeting with well middle aged and depressed Roy (57), which is too bad in his back to work.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWe see this right after a session where an English speaking lecturer talks about treading over people boundaries. So we know this wonu0026#39;t be easy for Roy.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWeu0026#39;re dragged into Royu0026#39;s life. He has lost his motivations, doing nothing, and mostly at home. His wife is trying to find solutions, with no success, until she canu0026#39;t take it anymore. A Therapist overhear a conversation in a café, and he comes over to recommend a special treatment. And so it goes, his wife sends Roy away on an alternative treatment. Roy is not interested, but as his wife says, heu0026#39;s not interested in anything. So he goes along with it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut this treatment is not what Roy is expecting…u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWell, more should not be said. Johan Jonasonu0026#39;s movie, also written by him, is well acted and well told. The film put you right into it, and you get interested.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe problem is that it does not use itu0026#39;s potential. By far. A good build-up is squandered, and Iu0026#39;d like more than i get, but I was invested during the movie, and thatu0026#39;s not something I could say about every movie i watch.”
