The Joe Show (2014). The Joe Show: Directed by Daniel Falicki. With Joseph McIntosh, Kyle Burton Black, Marjorie Budzynski, Jeffrey Goodrich. Trapped in a world he never made up, Joe struggles to find a job or even a meaningful relationship with anyone outside of his imaginary pal, Charlie Nubbins. The only place Joe feels at home is on stage during a local poetry night attended by beautiful women.Women who end up missing after each one of his shows.

“Every so often, I want to see something completely unique. Something non-commercial. Independent. Low budget. Gritty. Dark. Outside the box, yet seemingly possible to have occurred in real life. This ticked all those boxes for me. The acting was so-so in many places, which only intensifies my enjoyment of these type of films. Makes it feel more real. But when Joe does his poetry, he transforms! Total pro! I loved the intensity of these poetry readings. I didnu0026#39;t even know there was a type of poetry out there that Iu0026#39;d enjoy. But now I do. And I love how Joeu0026#39;s life was one of raging despair. Watching a character trundle along, usually up to no good, yet only too aware that life need to be better than it is. The painfully lonely, quiet struggle. I just loved this thing.”
