“Going into this film I assumed I knew where it was going to take me, and I found myself constantly surprised at every turn. While at times I felt like the pacing may have been a little slow, I ultimately realized that it helped the trajectory of the film. I wanted to spend more time with these characters, to learn more about them as we all went on the journey together. For a first feature by Nardeep Khurmi, the directing is surprisingly confident, and despite writing and starring in it as well, it never felt like any element suffered. And the performance by young actress Caroline Valencia is a revelation. I certainly hope to see a lot more from both of them. Thank you for showing me different sides of things I thought I already knew a lot about.”
