Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968). Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women: Directed by Peter Bogdanovich. With Mamie Van Doren, Mary Marr, Paige Lee, Gennadi Vernov. Astronauts landing on Venus encounter dangerous creatures and almost meet some sexy Venusian women who like to sun-bathe in hip-hugging skin-tight pants and seashell brassieres.

“Probably one of the more haunting experiences and viewings as a child I remember because often it was aired at alternative times by itu0026#39;s previous venture, u0026quot;Voyage to a Prehistoric Planetu0026quot;. I remember feeling confused as to the differences, but by far, u0026quot;Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Womenu0026quot; presents the better use of the original Russian footage. The closing scenes with the women surrounding their u0026quot;new godu0026quot; the lava-destroyed robot, u0026quot;Johnu0026quot;, are simply eerie in contrast to the previous scenes from the 1962 Russian film. The voice-over dialog by Mamie Van Doren, while u0026quot;hokeyu0026quot; in parts, sets the mood perfectly. To appreciate this film for what it is, one needs simply to view it ALONE…in the quiet dead of night. It gets under your skin and stays there. One of the more noteworthy and curious (in my opinion), albeit u0026quot;lessor knownu0026quot; of Cormanu0026#39;s u0026quot;cut and pasteu0026quot; classics.”
