“The film is better than the book; very well acted, poetic, well filmed and with great actors. The screenplay is also better than the original book.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eHowever, my main criticism remains (as with the book) – I cannot imagine the illiterate, uneducated women in a Mennonite settlement to speak the language that is portrayed. The vocabulary is inconsistent with the environment. Both the author and the director are too well educated and this is why the dialogues do not seem authentic.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt should be watched together with u0026quot;One of Usu0026quot; or u0026quot;Unorthodoxu0026quot;u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eRegardless of my criticism the film is a must watch.”
