“I saw the trailer for the 2022 Spanish movie u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; (aka u0026quot;Piggyu0026quot;) somewhere and it left an impression on me, because as soon as writer and director Carlota Peredau0026#39;s movie was available, I had to sit down and watch it. And I was actually harboring some expectations to the movie, after having seen the trailer.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline in u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; started off good and there was a lot of potential to the storyline written by Carlota Pereda, I will say that much. Unfortunately, the movie derailed sometime before the halfway mark, and the movie just lost its momentum and settled into a stale and monotonous pace. What had started out rather well and interesting became a sluggish narrative that seemed random, erratic and semi-confusing. A shame really, because u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; had so much potential.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eIt should be said, though, that lead actress Laura Galán (playing Sara) really carried the movie quite well with her performance, and she is an actress with talent; one that definitely is worth paying attention to, because I think she could hit it big time.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eVisually then u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; was an okay movie. Youu0026#39;re not going to be in for anything extravagant here. But the special effects were adequate enough for the movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI was disappointed with the approach that director Carlota Pereda opted to go with u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot;, though I did manage to sit through the entire movie. I am not, however, going to return to the movie a second time.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eu0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; is listed as a horror drama, keep in mind here that the storyline focuses on the drama aspect, as the horror is merely a topping to spice up the storyline.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of u0026quot;Cerditau0026quot; lands on a disappointing four out of ten stars.”
