“I had zero expectations heading into this, I just went because it was the only new release at the cinema that I hadnu0026#39;t seen. I sorta loved the opening dialogue, it was like observing two people that donu0026#39;t understand enough of a certain subject matter but still proceed to discuss it like intellectuals, it sounds witty if you turn your brain off. The writers made the conversations unintentionally funny especially with Ben with Texans, due to the different cultures everything he said was taken literally. It was also a peculiar situation to be in, unwillingly attending a one night standu0026#39;s funeral. I liked how it starts with him with commitment issues to slowly falling for someone, too little too late, even though it wasnu0026#39;t explicitly shown, and grew close with her family.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAshton Kutcher was the best part of the movie and his character really elavated it for me; I think itu0026#39;s one of his better roles. Itu0026#39;s great to see the range, started off as Kelso to now Quentin. I loved how Ben kept having talks with people alluding to how online dating and hookup culture are ruining society and distancing people but this man just wasnu0026#39;t getting it lol. It has a lot of heartfelt and philosophical moments; I was left surprised as I didnu0026#39;t expect much of the movie but it leaves you with a sad realization of how the world is now(Quentinu0026#39;s monologue towards the end). I thought what Ben did kinda went against his character and a little impulsive but the movie quickly moves on from that.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI probably enjoyed it more than I would have because I went in expecting a mediocre mystery adventure film but it ended up being funny, impassioned, sad and philosophical in the end. On initial thought it doesnu0026#39;t come off sublime but I love it and would definitely recommend. I feel like itu0026#39;s best going in blind like I did but I have now increased your expectations after reading this.”
