Sure, I didnu0026#39;t know that there was a sequel to the 1996 classic Schwarzenegger movie u0026quot;Eraseru0026quot; in the making. So stumbling upon it by random luck here in 2022 seemed like my good fortune. So of course I had to sit down and watch it, especially since the original u0026quot;Eraseru0026quot; movie was quite enjoyable. Now, had I only known that this was a reboot, then I wouldnu0026#39;t have been so eager to get to see it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWriter Michael D. Weiss and director John Pogue had a snowballs chance in Hell of making this 2022 action thriller u0026quot;Eraser: Rebornu0026quot; into a good movie. I donu0026#39;t enjoy reboots particularly much, so that was working against the movie. And the fact that writer Michael D. Weiss blatantly copied multiple scenes and dialogue scene by scene from the original 1996 movie was just a slap to the face of fans of the Schwarzenegger movie from 1996.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSure, if you have never seen the 1996 action thriller u0026quot;Eraseru0026quot;, then I am sure there is enjoyment to be found in u0026quot;Eraser: Rebornu0026quot;. But if you have seen the 1996 movie, then you should really do yourself a favor and stay well clear of director John Pogueu0026#39;s 2022 reboot. It just simply is atrocious and a mockery of the original movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eBut letu0026#39;s be fair here, then u0026quot;Eraser: Rebornu0026quot; actually has a good amount of action, explosions and gunfights to it, and that somehow makes it bearable to sit through this ordeal.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe character gallery in u0026quot;Eraser: Rebornu0026quot; was just a watered down copy-paste job of the original 1996 movie, with some alterations done.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI didnu0026#39;t know they made this movie before I had the opportunity to sit down and watch it, and I have to say that the movie will fade into oblivion for me with the same amount of oblivion as it came into existence.
