“You canu0026#39;t watch this film and not think of one of the two films I referred to- 2003u0026#39;s u0026quot;Somethingu0026#39;s Gotta Giveu0026quot; and of course the Oscar- winning 1997 u0026quot;As Good As It Getsu0026quot;. Overall, Iu0026#39;ll give u0026quot;And So It Goesu0026quot; a modest recommendation if you liked those two films, but this movie has got itu0026#39;s problems. One of those problems I think honestly is the length- at only 90 minutes (your standard running time to maximize the movie multiplexesu0026#39; number of showtimes), you just donu0026#39;t have the time to fully develop the story and characters; unlike u0026quot;As Good As It Getsu0026quot; for instance- a 2 u0026amp; 1/2 hour movie. Oscar winners Diane Keaton u0026amp; Michael Douglas I think work well together, and have on-screen chemistry. They just needed a more fully-developed screenplay. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd Rob Reiner (who also has a supporting role in the film)- wow; this guy used to be one of the top Hollywood filmmakers of the u0026#39;80s and early u0026#39;90s- with films like u0026quot;Princess Brideu0026quot;, u0026quot;Stand By Meu0026quot;, u0026quot;When Harry Met Sallyu0026quot;, u0026quot;Miseryu0026quot;, u0026quot;A Few Good Menu0026quot;, etc… He had a modest comeback with the 2000u0026#39;s film u0026quot;Bucket Listu0026quot;, but other than that, the guy canu0026#39;t seem to catch a break about the past 20 years- ever since that infamous bomb u0026quot;Northu0026quot; Iu0026#39;d say?? Well, anyhoo, if youu0026#39;re looking for something to watch, and the aforementioned films are not readily available (or youu0026#39;ve seen them enough already), you may wanna give this a try- And so it goes…”
