Julius Caesar: With Jeremy Sisto, Richard Harris, Christopher Walken, Valeria Golino. Twenty-year-old Julius Caeser flees Rome for his life during the reign of Sulla, but through skill and ambition rises four decades later to become Rome’s supreme dictator.

“Covering the period from Sullau0026#39;s occupation of Rome in 82 BC to Julius Caesaru0026#39;s murder in 44 BC, this is a fairly good biography. Some of the details of Caesaru0026#39;s career are touched on only briefly, and some relationships are inaccurate. E.G. Brutus was Catou0026#39;s son-in-law, Portia was Catou0026#39;s daughter. The film says Brutus was Catou0026#39;s nephew. One may be disappointed not to get the dramatic aftermath of the murder, but that would take at least another hour. One might wish for better acting here and there, but you seldom get really great made-for-TV movies. As a lifelong history buff, I found the film entertaining, even instructive once in a while.”
