7 Psychos: Directed by Martin McDonagh. With Michael Pitt, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sam Rockwell, Colin Farrell. A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster’s beloved Shih Tzu.

“This is NOT a knock on Quentin Tarantino films. But this movie adjusts some Tarantino hallmarks. I canu0026#39;t say it u0026quot;lightensu0026quot; the mood. Rather it maintains itu0026#39;s mischievous dark comedic tone with lines that you could expect from a collaboration of Tarantino and MST3K. Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson, and Sam Rockwell deliver their usual, even standard, wonderful jousting when paired with equally gifted actors. Colin Farrell gives my favorite performance of his career. As for Tom Waits, as always. he embraces and portrays the character as though itu0026#39;s more of an interview than an acting role. Lastly, and most importantly, writer/director Martin McDonagh sat, not in front of a typewriter or in a directoru0026#39;s chair, but at a loom. He wove every thread, sometimes deftly, sometimes harshly, until he created the fabric that he envisioned and EVERYONE should watch.”
