“Well, given the premise of the movie and the synopsis, I must admit that my expectations to u0026quot;Phantom Raceru0026quot; werenu0026#39;t exactly sky high. I assumed that I would be in for something in the likes of the 1983 movie u0026quot;Christineu0026quot;, the 1971 u0026quot;Duelu0026quot;, the 1977 u0026quot;The Caru0026quot;, the 1980 u0026quot;The Hearseu0026quot;, the 2007 u0026quot;Death Proofu0026quot; movie, or a movie in that ilk.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd that was exactly what u0026quot;Phantom Raceru0026quot; turned out to be. So if you enjoy a good old fashioned thriller/horror movie with a possessed vehicle, then u0026quot;Phantom Raceru0026quot; might be something for you.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eSure, the storyline in the movie is fairly out there, I mean, a possessed vehicle with a returned ghost at the steering wheel, well, it is pretty far fetched. But hey, it actually made for adequate entertainment.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe movie actually had a decent enough cast ensemble, for a movie such as this. With the likes of Greg Evigan and Nicole Eggert at the helm of the cast list.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eVisually then the movie wasnu0026#39;t actually all that bad, and the effects definitely served their purpose well enough. So that worked well in favor of the movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eI found that u0026quot;Phantom Raceru0026quot; proved to be adequately entertaining for what it turned out to be. Was it a cinematic masterpiece? Not even close. But the movie provided me with sufficient entertainment for a single viewing, However, this wasnu0026#39;t an outstanding movie or particularly memorable movie, unless you like racing cars I suppose.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of the 2009 movie u0026quot;Phantom Raceru0026quot; lands on a mediocre five out of ten stars.”
