“I must admit that I was lured in by this 2020 movieu0026#39;s cover/poster. Sure, I hadnu0026#39;t even heard about the movie prior to sitting down to watch it. But the cover/poster had an appeal to it, and since it was a new horror movie that I hadnu0026#39;t already seen, of course I gave it a chance.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAnd while I managed to sit through the entire movie, right up to the disappointing ending, I have to admit that I was far from being anything even remotely close to entertained by the storyline told in u0026quot;The Curse of Hobbes Houseu0026quot;.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe storyline and plot, as written by Wolf-Peter Arand and Juliane Block, just didnu0026#39;t offer anything interesting really. Everything in the movie had been done in other older movies, and done to a far better and more satisfactory result, I might add. So that left u0026quot;The Curse of Hobbes Houseu0026quot; as rather boring and uneventful movie.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe acting in the movie was adequate, although you shouldnu0026#39;t go about hoping for some grand Shakespearian performances here, as the script and dialogue just doesnu0026#39;t have that value to it.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eFor a horror movie then u0026quot;The Curse of Hobbes Houseu0026quot; was just unfathomably devoid of anything remotely scary. And truth be told, then fast, agile and nimble zombies with glowing blue light orbs for eyes just didnu0026#39;t cut it. It was more laughable than it was scary. It most certainly didnu0026#39;t do the trick for me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhile I managed to endure the movie to the bitter end, this is without the shadow of a doubt not a movie that I will ever return to watch again. Nor is it a movie that I can recommend that you spend your time, money or effort on.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eMy rating of u0026quot;The Curse of Hobbes Houseu0026quot; settles on a generous three out of ten stars.”
