Red Woods (2021)
46KRed Woods: Directed by Nicholas Danko. With Michael Barnett, Brian E. Stead, Jacquelynn Ware, Justin Rose. A group of urbex enthusiasts travel to the backwoods of Appalachia to capture footage of abandoned houses, when they unwittingly become the subjects of a much darker video – made by a different kind of “enthusiast”.
“As much would expect this movie is another kind of u0026quot;found footage – Blair Witch inspiredu0026quot;.nWhat was good in it? Well, acting was decent actually and characters were ok. Locations are well shot, and even if it was not really scary there actually was a sense of disgust/creep through what the characters slowly get into.nWaht was bad? Letu0026#39;s face it, thereu0026#39;s quickly too much going on with some people going one way, the others another, new one introduced, and so on, it gets all messy, for the last third of the movie it turns out to go from horror found footage to an action movie, itu0026#39;s all over the place and so the ending turns to be rushed and not really satisfying.nIu0026#39;d say thereu0026#39;s good ideas in this film but the writer/director should have made some choices when it came to how to conduct them. It bites more than it can chew ! Anyway, regarding itu0026#39;s a low budget indie horror flick itu0026#39;s of course another forgetable film but fairly watchable if youu0026#39;re into the genre.”
