Tuppen: Directed by Lasse Hallström. With Magnus Härenstam, Lill Andersson, Ellionor Bille, Åsa Bjerkerot. 1944. Cederqvist comes to a small cloth factory to see how the all-women staff can work more efficiently. When first arriving he is greeted with suspicion and his efforts at courting the young ladies are futile. But as soon as he buys himself a car it becomes much easier, especially since he is authorized to relocate people to an easier line of work.

“This little gem by Lasse Hallström has stood the ravages of time perfectly, just as crisp and enjoying now, as in 1981, when it was released.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe story is centered around a small, rural, textile factory during WWII, when most men are at the front. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe lead character is Cederqvist, the new time study man, that thinks heu0026#39;s a real stud. Employed by a factory that employs almost exclusively women, almost all blond and young, he goes into a spin!u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWell written, well acted and with a good director, and mostly filmed in a a real textile factory, a few miles from here, that gives a lot of authenticity to the story, it would be impossible to do it again today!”
