Unantastbar – Unsere ehrwürdigen Söhne: Directed by Guy Ferland. With Ally Sheedy, Heather Matarazzo, Sara Botsford, Scott Vickaryous. A seasoned police detective returns to her local hometown to investigate the shocking case of the rape of a mentally disabled girl. The town wants to hush up the incident, and is hostile to the investigation.

“I have to admit, I havenu0026#39;t seen the movie yet. I used to live in Glen Ridge. Graduated from the High School there. HATED the jock mentality. It was pervasive… it got under your skin and left you feeling u0026#39;dirtyu0026#39;. I had also been in another high school before, but didnu0026#39;t run across the elevation that the jocks received from everywhere in that town.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eWhen I 1st heard about the incident, (I had graduated a few years before… I didnu0026#39;t know any of the people directly involved,) I hate to admit it, but the thing that came to my mind was: u0026quot;Of course.u0026quot; And: u0026quot;Where else, but there?u0026quot; It sickened me, but (even scarier,) didnu0026#39;t surprise me.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThe defenseu0026#39;s argument that the rape was excusable because of where they came from, itself was inexcusable. But, again, typical of the town and itu0026#39;s attitude.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eThey deserved every punishment thrown at them by the courts and then some. And the lawyers should have gotten punished too. I wish there was some way to shift the towns view, but after reading the post earlier from a young woman who still lives in the town, I canu0026#39;t help but think that things havenu0026#39;t changed.u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eDo I go back for the reunions? Iu0026#39;m thinking…. not.”
