Unrelated: Directed by Joanna Hogg. With Kathryn Worth, Harry Kershaw, Emma Hiddleston, Henry Lloyd-Hughes. A woman in an unhappy relationship takes refuge with a friend’s family on holiday in Tuscany.

“A rather shallow tale of a forty-something (Kathryn Worth) who tries to escape the pressures of a seemingly failing relationship at home by joining a family on their holiday in a Tuscan villa. She prefers to spend her time with the younger members of the family and at times – particularly between her and Tom Hiddleston – the dialogue is sharp and enquiring. Much of the rest of it, though, reminds me of why the combination of a family holiday and unlimited alcohol makes for a bloody awful trip; and for a pretty self-indulgent theme for a film. It does look great; the scenery is lovely but many of the scenes are overly long, contributing little to the plot, and it is quite a long watch.”
