African Queen: Directed by John Huston. With Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Robert Morley, Peter Bull. In WWI Africa, a gin-swilling riverboat captain is persuaded by a strait-laced missionary to use his boat to attack an enemy warship.

“An amazing romance-adventure classic highlighted by the brilliant performances of Bogart and Hepburn. Oscar winner Bogartu0026#39;s Charlie is a broken man who finds true hope and happiness in Hepburnu0026#39;s Rose. Rose finds love and meaning from Charlie. Itu0026#39;s adorable to see them call each other u0026quot;Missusu0026quot; and u0026quot;Mr. Almontu0026quot; even when we know that they love each other. Even when they have their u0026quot;first quarrelu0026quot; near the end of the picture, we know that their lives have changed forever as a result of the other person. Itu0026#39;s a film about true love. This is also a very funny film, which was a shock to director Huston. Bogartu0026#39;s stomach growling scene early on in the film is a hoot. More humor commences as both stars play off of each other wonderfully. The scenary is beautiful. No film has captured the essence and importance of nature better than this classic. This is the film that sparked other romance adventures such as u0026quot;Romancing the Stoneu0026quot; and u0026quot;Six Days and Seven Nights.u0026quot; Before you view those newer installments, you better check out the one and true original classic.”
