Six Hours: Surviving Typhoon Yolanda: Directed by Jason Auerbach, Rudy Vegliante. With Aaron James Payumo Almadro, Dante Basco, Ryan Ginty, Lea Llamoso. In the middle of a broadcast about Typhoon Yolanda’s initial impact, reporter Jiggy Manicad was faced with the reality that he no longer had communication with his station. They were, for all intents and purposes, stranded in Tacloban. With little option, and his crew started the six hour walk to Alto, where the closest broadcast antenna was to be found. Letting the world know what was happening to was a priority, but they were driven by the need to let their families and friends know they were all still alive. Along the way, they encountered residents and victims of the massive typhoon, and with each step it became increasingly clear just how devastating this storm was. This was a storm that was going to change lives.

“At least since Hitchcock, there have been dozens of movies where a crippled person suffers from or witnesses a crime within a limited space and time. Using blindness is no exception, but the screenwriter and director here have ignored or forgotten that the blind have other senses stronger than u0026quot;ordinaryu0026quot; people, thus creating some u0026quot;thrillingu0026quot; scenes which are non-real. The plot in general, however, is probable, although the flashbacks provide no additional value to the movie. u003cbr/u003eu003cbr/u003eAs for the cast, the best performance is carried out by Michael Keaton; the rest are okay, but not so memorable, Michelle Monaghanu0026#39;s as the leading character Sarau0026#39;s depiction is in-consequent – perhaps due to the script… On the whole, the movie has its moments and the thrill is there, but there are too many predictable moments (incl. the ending) and unrealistic scenes.”
